FAQ for Campers

Where will we stay?

Campers will stay in a traditional-style dorm building on the Notre Dame of Maryland University campus. Each room will have two campers (usually from the same group) and will share a bathroom with other rooms (of the same gender) down the hall. The room is air-conditioned and a fridge and microwave are available in the common room. Please keep in mind we do sometime share these spaces with university students.

How do I request a roommate?

Simply fill out the Roommate Request section of your application form. If you have already submitted your application form, send an email wmacscamp.info@gmail.com.

Can I bring food to camp?

The standard meals (all-you-can-eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner) will be provided. In addition, an “evening snack” (宵夜!!) will be provided every night, possibly ranging from fresh watermelon to traditional fried rice. That said, feel free to bring additional small treats to snack on throughout the day.

Can I bring my phone and other electronics?

While we do allow phones, most campers come to realize our schedules are so jam packed, there's not much time for it. Of course you are free to bring phones to stay in touch with your parents throughout the week, but please keep in mind all electronics will be the camper's responsibility. Since we do share a campus with students and sometimes other camps, we would recommend only bringing the bare minimum and keeping them in a safe place.
